Confirm donation before making a trip
Ask the specific organization whether it accepts used mattresses or box springs. A general furniture-donation program may exclude them. Describe the item honestly and wait for acceptance before arranging transport.

- Include every box spring or foundation, including both pieces of a split set.
- Show the frame, headboard and any adjustable base if they also need to go.
- Note the floor, stairs, elevator and any narrow turns on the exit route.
- Disclose damage, pests or contamination before scheduling.
